Cornish: Day 12
Really tired, so here’s a quick update.
Couldn’t take any pictures today, camera was dead and I forgot to charge it. Either way class was too busy.
Got assigned a new project, got it out of the way tonight. Did it a little bit differently so hopefully they’ll like it. I’m happy with it regardless.
Did nothing but go over essays in integrated studies. Finishing that...
Cornish: Day 11
Another late update, been busy the past couple days trying to catch up with friends.
Foundations was really fun on Friday. We did our performances that we had been prepping for the two previous days. I wish I had taken some pictures of it, but honestly it wouldn’t be the same unless you were there in person for some of them.
We got done with Foundations early that day, so we had two and a...
Cornish: Day 10
Quick update.
One class, Visual Arts History. King Tut. Early Greece. That’s about it.
Bigger update tomorrow for sure. Thursday’s generally aren’t all that exciting since I go straight from school to work.
Cornish: Day 9
Today was a really fun day. We spent all of Foundations prepping for our performance on Friday, and I think I can say that this is the first time in my life I’m actually looking forward to performing in front of a group of people.
Deep conversations ensued, but in the end we figured it all out. Our skit is rad. It includes the following: Jerry Springer, random hippies, Kanye West, Mr....
Cornish: Day 8
My brain is fried. I can’t really think of anything good to write. So I’ll sum it up as quickly as possible.
Foundations: Presented field guides. Community portraits. Awkward people. People who were jerks. People who ignored us. Discussed new project.
Integrated Studies: Life discussion with J Hags. Talked about essays. Got a new essay to read.
Couple of the Community Portraits:
...
Oh yeah, one more thing...
This one’s for Autumn
Cornish: Day 7
So this update is about 2 days late, but oh well, it’s been a busy couple of days. Friday was a good day. Foundations was probably the most interesting its been since we started classes a couple weeks ago. We got into groups and walked to Office Depot and made random “sculptures” out of supplies we found. Got lots of what the fuck are these kids doing looks from people....
Song of the Day: Inertiatic ESP
– The Mars Volta
Cornish: Day 6
Sorry for the late update. Had to stay at work late to help a trainee, and all the other people that were behind. Thankfully, the new kid isn’t a complete idiot, which is a rarity with new hires at Panera.
Anyways, I didn’t bother taking my camera with me today, since I only had one class which was Visual Arts History, and I had to go immediately to work afterwards. Class was good....
Song of the Day: Pursuit of Happiness
– Kid Cudi (Featuring MGMT & Ratatat)
Cornish: Day 5
Today was a pretty busy day in classes, so I didn’t have time to take any photos, except for this one.
We went into more detail about mapping today, and it’s all starting to make a little more sense. We talked about our Denny Park projects, and I’m pretty sure I know exactly how I’m going to do it. Going to be a little bit of a time crunch, but I’m not all that...
Quick Update
Don’t have classes on Tuesdays.
Hung out with Alex for a bit.
Went and got my tattoo, turned out perfect. Ill have pictures up once I can uncover it.
This Is Awesome:
Song of the Day: Empire State of Mind
– Jay Z
Cornish: Day 4
Not that big of an update today.
Foundations class started off pretty typical. We went over our cognitive maps and personal shrines. Luckily mine was good enough that I don’t have to worry about re-vamping for next week.
We went to the South Lake Union Center today to learn more about the city, and its plans of development. Then separated into the groups and went to different spots...
Whew
Made it through the first week.
First round of homework is done.
Should be a good week next week!
Tattoo on Tuesday.
Simple Album Review:
Buy this.
Stand out tracks:
Empire State of Mind, On to the Next One, and Off That.
Song of the Day: Missed the Boat
– Modest Mouse

Applying to both sets: Which one, between the two?
Cornish: Day 3
Besides being completely worn out, today was a really good day. On Fridays, all of the Foundations classes meet up together as a whole unit, which is cool because you get the chance to meet some new people you havn’t gotten to yet.
Our “assignment,” if you really even want to call it that, was to walk to the Sculpture Park and do a scavenger hunt of sorts. But to be...
Current List of Things To Do:
1. Find some time to go to the UW Bookstore, to spend God knows how much on the books I need.
2. Get more art supplies.
3. And yet more art supplies…
4. Finish my Foundations project
Hopefully this list wont get any larger after tomorrow.
G’night till then. Tomorrow should be a good update. Foundations picnic + International District and Uwajimaya.
Song of the Day: Istillfeelher PartIII
– Jonny Craig
Cornish: Day 2
Today was such a nice day in the city. I didn’t want to leave it, but seeing as I have to head to work in ten minutes I had no choice.
Got into Seattle a little early before class today to meet up with some people for lunch. Hopefully this becomes a common occurrence, I hate eating lunch by myself, haha.
Jackson wanted to be a food model apparantly.
Spent the rest of the time...
Song of the Day: Inveigh
– The Bronx
Cornish: Day 1
God, what a long day. Not that it was bad at all, just ended up being a lot longer than I expected, but I guess I can blame that on being called into work. Regardless, it was a really good one.
The day started off with my Foundations class. Kristen my teacher seem really nice and laid back, went for a nice walk to the Cascade Pea Patch (hopefully that’s what it was actually called). ...
Music Lesson.
These are the albums I currently cannot stop listening to:
While Were On The Topic
Since this is primarily going to be used to document what I’m doing at Cornish, I thought I would share these.
Couple of the pieces used in my portfolio review:
First day of classes tomorrow, so stoked. Going to be the best four years of my life.
I am not your friend. I am just a man that knows how to feel.
– Sowing Season (Yeah) - Brand New
Here It Goes.
So I think I’m going to try this whole blogging thing again. Starting up school at Cornish tomorrow, and I feel that doing something like this will help me keep my head together.
This blog is going to serve three main purposes:
1. Documenting what I’m doing at the school.
2. Hosting pieces/projects/ideas that I’m working on.
3. Asking for feedback/criticism/etc.
On that...
